2025 Print & Typography Tone in Tongue ༶
Star / 星 is a submission for Tone in Tongue — a multi-venue international exhibition by Radical Characters. 

Inspired by ancient Chinese celestial chart, this character ‘曐’ is consisted of multiple connected star glyphs '𖥔', building a galaxy altogether, representing the multiplex of chinese characters, holding both meanings of 'insignificance' & 'stardom'. Dispite of its rare appearance, like many variant characters (異體字), this ’星‘ holds history of its form in bronze inscription. Varient characters are ubiquitous, marking different time stamps within the Chinese / Asian diaspora around the globe, revealing layers of evolution of Hanzi pre-computer era and its pictograph essence.

Assorted projects for Fly By Jing, spanning print, digital, and packaging assets for branded marketing and retail materials, ranging from ads, social, motion design, video editing, retail signage, product campaigns, and real-life activations. Works are done solo or in collaboration with the brand team.

Creative direction for DJ duo redbeans. Content including show covers and print designs for the monthly radio show <Happy Togather> on Lower Grand Radio.

Visuals aimed to celebrate asian diasphoric joy, and are heavily inspired by vintage album covers, nostalgic food packaging & street patterns and silhouettes.

Creative identity, digital, social, and print designs were developed for the Goldman Environmental Prize’s 2022 campaign, re/Generation Now. The identity concept was created by me, and the full campaign production was completed in a team.
2022Print DesignItchy Together Tape ༶
Tape, digital release party poster & red bean mochi cake recipe designs for redbeans & suade's mixtape <Itchy Together>. Tape insert & recipe are printed with Risograph. 
2022Branding & PackagingBlockhead  ༶
Brand concept for a new line of tofu ‘Block Head’ for House Foods. The design features simple, deliberately naive hand-drawn illustrations of hero mascot and speech bubble, with transparent packaging to show food textures. Color palette is set in muted, soft tones, paired with joyful and welcoming typography.

In collaboration with Troy Taylor, this calendar combines our shared love of drawing plants in pots. It’s printed with Risograph in orchid, orange, and black inks, along with a ‘Thank You’ card. The design incorporated Michael Torchia’s typeface, Ultrawides.
